So to keep my status available I run a program called mousejiggle.

If a user is offline when someone sends them a message, the chat message appears in Teams the next time the user is online.

If you’re in a meeting or call, Teams will automatically change your status to In a meeting or In a call ( Busy) when not set to Do not disturb.

Click your current status. AFAIK, you can select the status to show as happens in Skype For Business Today, but you cannot configure any setting to control after how long your status is going to be shown as Away

Be right back is when you want to say you’re temporarily away.





When I work on one computer for more then 10 minutes the other computer shows that I am away (not available) from MS Teams. 3/9/19 Update: I posted two requests that we can vote for. Teams already has a feature where it will email you when you have messages and are away but i find that it will send the message hours late. Click this and your status should be refreshed if you’ve been away from your workstation for a while.
